Welcome!
My name is Sarah Quỳnh Giang Hồ. Born and raised in sunny southern California, USA to Vietnamese immigrants, I received my bachelor’s in Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and worked for the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Public Works - Bureau of Engineering for about a year and a half. Seeking a bit of change in my life, I took a leap of faith in 2019 and moved to Munich, Germany, where I earned my master’s in Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) with a focus in hydrology. I then moved to Karlsruhe, Germany in 2022 for a doctorate at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)’s Institute for Water and Environment - Hydrology, which I successfully defended in January of 2026. Since then, I have been working at KIT as a postdoc at the Institute of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.
